I was living in Chile in 2010 and experienced firsthand the 8.8 magnitude earthquake that struck just off the coast of the city Concepcion, where I was living at the time. The earthquake left the entire city and surrounding areas without food, water, energy, and many without shelter. On top of the destruction from the earthquake, experiencing the tsunami that followed left more damage behind. Surviving off a minimal water supply and basic flower, fat, sugar and oil kept us going. I realized the importance of being ready for a natural disaster and how so many comforts we sometimes take for granted simply vanish altogether so quickly. Since that experience, I have grown more and more aware of the simple comforts we have and how drastic our lives would change without them. The space between the average person and prepper is growing and its is my goal to produce a product that tailors to both. I want to bridge the gap between Prepper and Procrastinator and provide a solution that helps those on each end of the spectrum and everyone in between. – Chad Workman
